Sniffles

Here is the little Magnolia gal I was telling you about. Isn't she adorable. I colored her with markers and pencils on her cheeks. Added the cute little bow and lots of stickles. I added lacquer to the medicine bottle and her wash basin. As you can see I also made her 3d. Flowers are prima and not sure on the paper I think it comes out of a DCWV stack. I might be posting one more card tonight that I am working on right now. My son goes to his dad's house tonight and I am hoping my husband takes him so I have more time to play... hehe

Mouse Watering Flowers - Another Great Impressions

As you can see I just love these little guys. This stamp is from Great Impressions bought at HMStamps. Who by the way has great customer service and he is one speedy shipper. As you can see I am a very loyal customer. And am no way affiliated with this seller except that I am probably one of his best customers LOL.

I started out with PaperTrey Cardstock and then Stamped 2 of them. Ran through my Cuttlebug using my spellbinders templates. The paper I used is Noteworthy from Making Memories so are the flowers. All colored cardstock is papertrey. I colored the mouse with colored pencils and gamsol. I like this best as it blends better than I can get markers to blend for these little guys and I am still working on the watercoloring. I never make a flat card unless it's impossible to make 3d. I always pop something up. This I also sewn in many spots as you can see and added glitter around the edges and to the flowers. Isn't it cute.

Later I will post my Sniffly Magnolia girl for you.

Lilacs

Lilacs are my favorite flower and when I seen this new Magnolia stamp well I had to have it. I have been practicing my watercoloring lately too. Watercoloring takes some practice I still have much to learn it definately is not as easy as it looks to be. I just figured you slap some paint on a brush and slap it on the paper... NOT. LOL But I am slowly getting it I can tell cause every card I do looks a little better than the last. This one is my lilacs card which is all done in watercolor, I added parts of it 3d and added stickles on the flowers. I even watercolored the lilacs on the inside. Tomorrow I will post another Magnolia one that I did tonight. I haven't taken pictures but its a little girl and she is sitting with her feet in bucket of water and a handkerchief at her nose it's so cute for a Get Well card.
Have a Great evening

Storms last weekend

Last weekend we had a tornado come through. Supposedly it touched down by the highschool which is only a block away. But I know a couple blocks north of us they had a bunch of damage roofs, trees uprooted etc. Hugo which is about 5 - 10 miles from us had whole streets that were wiped out. Was kinda creepy. Here are some pictures of the hail I took that evening. It was too cool not to take a picture of. This was about 5 minutes worth the hail. The yard looked very cool.

Too many stamps too little time......

Ok I've got so many stamps I am getting over whelmed on what card to make next. This gorgeous little guy is a great impressions stamps bought at HMstamps. I thought he was soooo cute and knew I had to have him. I colored him with my copi markers. Added some stickles. Cardstock is DCWV and then some of the glitter stack. I used my SU craft ink on the flowers and embossed them with some shimmer embossing powder I have and then added soem buttons. I thought the inside of the card turned out cute too... Just a simple get well with embossed flowers.
Hope everyone is having a great week. I hope it goes by slow so I have plenty of time to play in my scraproom.

Pink Poodles

Wow my days off really fly by. I am just sitting here killing time before I have to go to work in a half an hour. I am trying to take my last day off which is Tuesday for Memorial day so hopefully. Anyways. I made this card last night. I used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder for the background. Along with some DCWV glitter dots from one of the stacks. I Also used the glitter paper from their glitter stack which I have mine almost gone already LoL. The stamp set is SU I believe its called Have a Yappy day or something like that. But i colored with markers and added stickles for the glitter. I sewed along the edges also. I love my new sewing machine which I wore out my last one cause i use it so much.

I got my new Great Impressions stamps yesterday from my buddy Dick at HMStamps. Which by the way I can't say enough good things about. He ships very fast and actual shipping prices and his stamps are discounted. I order all my House Mouse, Great Impressions, Stampabilities, and now Northwoods from him. So stay tuned for my next days off hopefully in 3 days and I will make some new cards using those sweet little mice.

Hope everyone has a Great and Safe Memorial day.

Northwoods Deer

Here is another Northwoods Card I made tonight. Which can be bought at HMStamps. This one is stamped on Watercolor Cold press cardstock and embossed in black embossing powder. I watercolored using reinkers and distressed the edges and sewed also. The paper is one of the Basic gray collections, not sure which one. I just love these Northwood stamps they are great for watercoloring which I keep attempting so I can get better at it.
Hope everyone is having a great evening.

New Sewing Machine

So I am sitting there sewing on a card today and all the sudden my stitches looked inside out and then everything started knotting. I must have pulled that thing apart a dozen times finally I got fed up. I mean I only paid $39 for it so I am sure I made my money off of it. But I went to Hancock Fabrics and got one that has more types of stitches. And it has a light and a guide and everything. Its like driving a Mercede's. It's called a Janome 3125 and it's on sale right now for only $89 regularly $129 so you can't beat that. I just had to create a little more room for it cause it is a little bigger. I will post some cards I made later on tonight.

How I store stuff

Ignore the mess of my scraproom its in shambles atm but anyways this is how I have been storing all my NON SU stamps. Also all my wheels from SU I store in binders also. I have 2 binders for regular size and 1 binder for large. I am in the process of unmounting all my single stamps like Penny Black and House Mouse etc. As you can see by my binders I keep one for like Christmas and another for the other Holidays. I combine companys unless like Penny Black I have 2 binders full. I buy the white acrylic pages from Stamp and Go in their Unmounted area the link is in my favorites. I believe they cost $4.99 for 5 sheets. I buy them as I can afford them. I mount all my stamps on EZ mount. I buy the generic binders at Target they are 1 1/2 inch binders which cost me $2.50 I pick up a couple everytime I go to Target these days.
The other pictures is how I have been storing all my loose ribbon or the tiny rolls from Michaels. Each card has under 5 yards on it. Anything more is too thick. I just took chipboard which you get from cereal boxes etc but I bought mine from Ebay i believe i paid $5 for 100 sheets. I cut it in 2 inch by 2 1/2 inch pieces which you can see how many I can fit. It's like 150 spools per drawer. I have 6 drawers full currently.
The third picture down from the top is a picture of how I mount my Quickutz dies. I have a huge binder full with slide pages which are 2 x 2 and then I store either 1 double in each pocket or one single along with the picture. I am getting some for my revolution dies too which are 4 x 4 so i figure I will use just the regular 4 x 5 picture pages but they work better if they load from the top so they don't fall out. I currently have a few hundred in that 2 x 2 binder.
Ok going to bed LOL... Hope you enjoyed these its always kind of interesting to see other people's storage. I am still working on what's best for me but I love the binders. I use CD cases for all SU sets.

Another baby dragon

I hope you aren't sick of the dragons yet. This one is so adorable isn't it. I did it with pencils and gamsol. I added stickles on parts of the ice cream and wings. Also the little ice cream cones I run the bottom through my cuttlebug so they are raised and then the tops are cut out of glitter cardstock. Which I am addicted to also. I sewed along the edges with my sewing machine even on the inside. I also distressed all the edges because I think it gives it more depth. I added lacquer to the eyes so they look real and the chocolate ice cream.

I got some more great impression Mice on the way should be here by Friday. I also got a new coffee Revolution diecut on its way. Hmmm oh yeh some more doggy Rubber Necker stamps are postal along with all the 4th of July Bee stamps from Stampendous.

Hope everyone has a great evening and see you tomorrow...

Baby Dragon

I got some new stamps the other day and can't wait to spend some more time with them. This one is adorable isn't it. This is colored with both pencils and markers. You can see I put tons of layers on this little gal. I also sewed along the edges with my sewing machine. Joann's had thread on sale a few weeks ago and I had to buy them out. LOL. I believe I have one of every color I think I have almost 50 spools of different colors. I don't know why but I really enjoy sewing on them. I even do the insides of the card. If you want you can click on these pictures to enlarge them. Also the blue dotted paper is the new Coordinations paper I can't remember who makes it but its actually thick cardstock and I embossed it. It's already distressed but it was kind of spendy.
Last night of work so will be posting more tomorrow when I finish something it will probably be another adorable dragon hehe...

Iced Coffee

Do you liked Iced Coffee? I found this recipe on someone's blog and can't remember exactly where but I changed it a bit to Sugarfree to get less calories. Now I am so addicted.

1 Tablespoon Syrup Flavoring - I use Sugarfree Carmel but there is Hazelnut and Vanilla also
2 Tablespoon Vanilla Creamer - I use Sugarfree
1 package splenda
12 - 16oz coffee chilled
Ice cubes

My husband always has me a pot of coffee ready in the morning when I get home from work I have one cup and save the rest in my pot in the fridge. There is only like 50 calories in this coffee if made with sugarfree...

Saturday Already

Wow where do my days off go? I worked in the yard yesterday and today I was going to go to the Scrapbook and Stamp show until I got an email yesterday saying that the new Magnolia stamps and Sugar Nellie stamps were in. Well that set me back aways so I ended up staying home today and making a few cards and watching Season 2 of the Gilmore Girls. I love having a TV in my scraproom and then I just buy whatever series and watch it while I make cards. Oh I also bought the new Flourishes stamps which are adorable.

Here is a new Stampendous Monkey card I made today. I love how it turned out. I did it with markers. Paper is DCWV.
Hope everyone is having a Marvelous weekend.

More Great Impressions

I am just loving these little mice. These are two cards I made earlier today. It took me all day to make 2 cards I am not moving very fast these days. But I love how they turned out. I also got some new stamps from Impression Obsession's today that I have to go and mounted. They are some light houses.

Saturday I am dragging my daughter with me to the Scrapbook and Stamp Expo at the fairgrounds and WOW I get to see GinaK Designs in person... Yipee... and also Rubbernecker another of my favorite stamps is going to be there.

Great Impressions

I got some new stamps tonight from HMStamps but they are Great Impressions. I just love these little mice and Dick is so fast at shipping its not even funny. My husband even commented on his shipping speed which is very unusual as he normally doesn't notice things like that. I am still trying to figure out my lightbox yesterday it took great pictures and today not so great. I moved it in the basement so I am thinking maybe its too dark down there? I will play with it again tomorrow.

Tonight is Papertrey's release so I have to shower and get ready for that. I got off this morning and haven't been to bed yet but must see what's new and there is a beautiful lavender color she is releasing tonight.
Getting back to my card - Card was done with Papertrey's white cardstock and then I watercolored it and made parts 3d. Added lots of stickles to it and embossed the edges and sewed on the edges. The paper is from the new DCWV stack Blossoms and the Blue is from the DCWV glitter stack. This is actually 2 samps on this card i just combined them. The butterflies I cut out of the paper.

Photobox

Ok I got my photobox today I am posting a picture of it. Also posting pictures of the same card I scanned last night so you can see the difference. I blurred the edges in photoshop. As you can see it is set up on my coffee table but it folds into a bag. We are looking for a place to permanently set it up. I only paid $50 for this on ebay and it looks like it is going to be worth every dime. I still have my extension tube and zoom lens coming but I think these are pretty good. And as I said before I take horrible pictures.

Northwoods

I received my Northwoods stamp order from HMStamps today. I hurried up and unmounted all of them and even had time to do one tonight before I have to go to work. This one I embossed with black embossing powder and then I water colored using reinkers. This was stamped on watercolor paper also. I made 2 of them and then cut out all the flowers 3d and also the front leaves. Isn't it pretty.

I am excited tomorrow is the day my photobox is suppose to be here. And hopefully one day this week my macro filter and zoom lens will be here also. So I will be able to take some great photo's of my cards instead of scanning them. This one is scanned.

Hedgies

Tonight I made another hedgie card. I just love those little guys. Alot of work went into this card and it has lots and lots of layers. I watercolored some of it and the rest was done with pencils and markers so there was a little bit of everything in it. I distressed the edges and sewed around the edges. Inside the card also has 3 layers. Don't you just love the paper I found it in my DCWV summer stack. Also Joann's has thread on sale so I got $40 worth today so that should last me awhile I think I almost have a spool of every color.
We are taking my son to go see Iron Man tomorrow. We seen it last week and loved it but he wasn't home so we are going to take him. Excellent movie if anyone likes that kind of thing. I love movies like that.
Have a great evening. I go back to work tomorrow night but if I make a card I will definately share it with you...

Alota

It is hard to believe another week has gone by already. I am still waiting on the lightbox I bought to take better pictures of my cards. It comes with some different colored backgrounds and it has a small tripod and a couple studio lights. I hope it works. I also ordered a Telephoto Zoom lens and a Macro Filter today for my camera. All this should help since I do have a good camera but can't get close enough and lighting is too dark.

Here is a card I made using ALOTA Rubberstamps I bought this unmounted also and I mount on EZmount. I colored it with gamsol and pencils and some with markers. I added glossy accents on parts of it and stickles and made pieces of it 3d. I sewed on the card and added rhinestones to the flowers. See the inside of the card isn't it cute. I thought this would make a great get well card for either male or female. He looks sooo sick doesn't he.

I've been busy unmounting all my stamps. I took 3 - 18 gallon containers apart last night along with probably 3 dozen large containers full. So far I believe I have over a dozen binders full of stamps. I will take pictures when I am done. I will save tons of room not to mention I can organize better. I am organizing by company also by Holidays. I have one book just of Christmas and one of Valentine's etc. I love it.

Have a great evening and I will post another card tomorrow.

Another great sale going on at Charming Place they are having a sale for National Scrapbook Day and alot of their charms under the NSD are as low as .5 so stock up now. I love their stuff. I try to buy something at every sale LOL....

Here is a card I made yesterday. I was visiting my parents today who are a couple hours away so didn't get anything done. This card is done with pencils and copics. I distressed the edges. Flowers are punches and then I added stickles and a tiny marble trim. Paper is sweetwater.

Have a great weekend. We have more snow in the forecast for tomorrow. Fun fun...
