Magnolia's

I got my new Magnolia stamps today. Only took 10 days from Sweden, airmail. What great service that is. Here are a couple of cards I made with them. The beautiful paper on the bottom card is from Papertrey this month along with the ribbon. Cardstock on both is from Papertrey and top card the paper is from DCWV. Hope everyone has a great weekend and a great Easter.

Snowing again

Can you believe here in Minnesota it is snowing again? Suppose to be quite a bit so far we got probably another 3 inches. I really need to see green grass again LOL.

Anyways here is a card I made using a Hanna Stamps Riley the Moose. They are great to 3d and very easy to cut out. I colored it all in Copies and cut out 2 layers.

Baby Cards

Tonight is my last night of work until Saturday. I was bored so made a couple

baby cards. They were both colored with pencils and markers. I made parts

3d. The paper on the stork one is from the Boy's Nursery Stack DCWV.

Sunday

Weather here is startiing to get nice and you can actually see the grass again. Which is a great site since I absolutely hate winter. It was like 50 above today and I am so ready for summer and

to be able to open up the windows again.

Here is a new house mouse I made the other day which i made parts of it 3d of course. I love coloring these little guys. I use Stampin Up Whisper White cardstock when I use Gamsol because i found it works the best for blending. Markers I use Papertreys Cardstock. I always use Sepia for the brown on the mouse i found it looks the most realistic. With colored pencils and gamsol which is an oderless mineral spirits and I believe you could use any brand. I have heard of people using baby oil too. I have not tried this yet. For coloring Prismacolor work the best I believe i heard it was something about the wax? But I have tried several other brands and nothing compares to them. I bought the huge 120 pack which i paid over $100 for. You don't need this many colors. I use a fleshtone, Sepia, Chocolate, Apple Green, Marine Green, Pink, Hot pink and a few others you don't need all the colors you won't use them and its a waste of money. I believe Joann's and Michaels both sell single one's. I just bought some yesterday at Dick Blick because i go through my pencils alot because I love them sharp. I also used a dot of glossy effects on the eye of my mouse and for his nose. Makes it look real. Have a great week.

Sugar Nellie

Well its Friday already, amazing how fast my days off go by. Here is a card I made with my Sugar Nellie stamps which are on a similiar order of Magnolias. The link is on the side. The little

puppy is Sugar Nellie's also. I believe the saying is a new Stampin Up one. I have so many stamps its hard to keep track of them that is for sure. I colored both in pencils and gamsol. Added a little bow to her hair and she is in two layers.

If you have never checked out Paper Trey do so tonight at 11:00pm CST she is posting her new stamps I can't wait. I look forward to this every month. This month she has 2 more colors which are kinda rosey. Hard to describe and the new ribbons and inks to make and I believe 5 new sets. I can't wait. Can you tell I am excited.

Kids are on spring break this week here also. Funny how fast that time goes by after Christmas.

Kitchen Sink Stamps

I got my Kitchen Sink stamps today. I felt they were a little over priced but I thought I would try them out. I got the rose set and the bunny set. These are the cards I made. I don't know if I lined them up right. You need 4 colors that are similiar cause its a 4 step stamp set. I will definately need to keep working on my skills to line them up. I used chalk inks because thats what I have the most of. Which if you have ever used them they take awhile to dry but great colors.

Gruffies

Happy Saturday ! I get the fun job of Car shopping today. I was finally told that my car money is in the mail but I have to get rid of my rental on Monday hmmmm I am seeing a gap there since I haven't gotten it as of yet. We are going to go to look for a car today and see if I can give them a Post dated check hopefully they go for that. This whole thing has been one headache after another.

On better news I got some of my new Gruffies done on my days off. These again can be bought at HMSTAMPS as with any house mouse or penny black stamp. All of these were done on Papertrey ink cardstock with either pencils and gamsol or my copic markers.

Hopefully after today things can get back to normal again after I get another car. I tell you I will definately be happy to get rid of the rental. Oh btw don't forget tonight is daylight savings times. Spring ahead..... Yipee one less hour of work for me in the morning.

HM Stamps

If you haven't checked this site out yet please do HMStamps I buy all my House Mouse, Happy Hoppers and Grizzlies and Penny Black from him. Great Customer Service and a discount which you can't beat. Here are a couple new stamps I just got from him. Next week I will have the new Grizzlies I just got posted hopefully. I normally color these in pencils and gamsol but this time I did them in Copics which I think they turned out good because the stamp designs have their own shadows in. I made them 3d and added stickles for glitter.... I just love these stamps.

Sending Sunshine

My days go by extremely fast when I am off. I go back to work tonight already. I made this card yesterday I just love how it turned out. This is a stamp set from My Favorite Things. I stamped out 2 of the gal and her dog and pieced it together to make it 3d. Also same with the seagull on his post. I punched the circle out with my punch and the saying it also a part of this stamp set. I distressed the edges of the water so it was a little darker after i ripped it.
