Rockstar

Thought I would share a super cute stamp with you that I won for a random blog drawing at SugarNellie and can be bought here at Funky Kits. But I do believe Rockstar was just a special set they did and they had a few extra. Seeing how guitar hero is huge now this would be one great kid card. I used the background from Rock DCWV scrap pad and then I colored him in copics and the little guitar you see is actually from a piece of the paper in the same scrap pack I just mentioned...

Have a great evening I am just making cards to list tomorrow on ebay and watching One Tree Hill. I am so addicted to that show it's not funny. I am on Season 3 now and tomorrow I am thinking I might need to go and buy the 4th season at Target. Oh btw weather is great in Minnesota today I went and bought some propane and had hamburgers on the grill tonight for supper. It felt really good to be outside with no jacket on.

Graduation Card

I am so bad about updating but since I work nights I only get a chance to go in my scraproom on Wed - Friday normally. I like working midnights but sometime they really get to me. I bought this stamp at my lss so not sure who makes it but it's gorgeous. I had my daughter in mind when I bought it because she graduates this June. It's been a long 12 years.

This card is stamped with versamark on Fabriano watercolor paper. For this one I used Hot Press which means its not as lumpy. I then used just regular Gold Detail embossing powder which i buy in bulk instead of the itty bitty container's it sells in. I also store all my embossing powders or glitter in sandwhich containers or some type of small container with a spoon in it. It

makes it so much easier to use. I don't know how people use it in those baby jars.

I then pulled out all my Twinkling H2O's which I love but always forget I have them. It's hard to see in the picture but they are shimmery in person. I did the 2 largest roses and ribbon and cut them out with scissors. and then i colored the bottom. I used stardream gold cardstock for the backing and embossed it with one of my cuttlebugs. I just love this card its sooo pretty in person.

Mother's Day

I went to a stamp convention here today in twincities, wow it was worse than I ever seen it.

$7.00 to get in and there was only 7 vendors I think it was and 1 was pampered chef and one was CTMH and TAC. Years ago when I started going there was sooo many stamp vendors it was not even funny but no stamp vendors today. They use to have company's like Inky Antics, Darcies, Stamps By Judith, you name it and it was there at one time. How disappointing. I ended up buying one stamp that is a small saying you give to someone with a new baby and you put a penny of the year they were born and they use it for their wedding or something similiar.

Here is a stamp I made using my new Penny Black stamp hubby bought me. At HMStamps which i thought might make a good Mother's day card. It was colored with Copics and parts are pencils and Gamsol. I added stickles to the flowers and made parts of it 3d. The beautiful glitter paper is the Spring Glitter stack DCWV I bought at Joann's a few weeks ago.

Back to work tonight so I probably won't post until Wednesday unless I get ambitious.

Another Hedgie

I just love these little hedgies... I was digging through my stamps today looking for one's that I haven't made in awhile and came across this one. I just love this little guy. I did this in pencils and gamsol and added papertrey ribbon and cardstock and paper is dcwv...

Friday

I was checking my blog reader today and found I had won the stamp Rockstar from SugarNellies which has some adorable stamps. My Best Friend card I made earlier last week was from there.

Anyways here is another House Mouse card I made last night. Isn't it too cute. It was actually a mistake cause I ordered another one but at the factory they must have mismarked the labels vs the stamp cause the stamp was wrong compared to the label. But its very cute.

Also Saturday I go to our local stamp convention. Throughout the years its gotten worse and worse thought I would go this year and if it hasn't improved then I won't go next year.

Another House Mouse....

Here is another House Mouse I made tonight from my new stamps. By the way these

were bought at HMstamps Great guy to buy from.

Card was made using markers on the balloons and of course they are Copics. And I used Pencils on the mice. The saying on the front is papertrey's new birthday set. I also used stickles on the balloon and then some gingham ribbon. Background of the card is embossed which its hard to see in the pictures but its made with embossing folders from cuttlebug my favorite..

New House Mouse

This is one of the new stamps my husband bought me for my birthday isn't it cute. I colored it with markers and pencils. I also added lacquer to the ice cube so it looks real and made parts of it 3d of course. The paper i believe is chatterbox it was scrap that I had laying around.

Gruffies

I can never remember the name of these cards. I think I got it right though. I just love these little guys. This one is colored with pencils and I added stickles to the lilacs and made parts 3d.

I did the corner punches with the SU punch I love. Paper is by DCWV.

Lemons

I made this card the other day. I did it all in prisma colored pencils and after I colored it I added yellow stickles to parts of the Lemon. I also distressed the edges with Ranger Distress ink which i love. I mostly use the aged linen i think its called. Not sure who makes the paper I had it in my huge pile of half sheets....

Easter

Here is a card I created the other day from a Penny Black stamp which I love. I actually stamped this 3x first the bottom layer. And then a layer with the background paper as you can see I used the scarfs and the cupcake holder for this and then 3rd layer is the front 2 mice. I colored the mice with colored pencils. Isn't that gorgeous paper and cardstock. All paper and cardstock is Papertrey. I can't wait till they get tons more colors.... I love the new one's they have so far. I added Stickles to the frosting of the cake and Ranger Glossy Accents to the candle.
