As promised another card

I know I said I would post another card tonight. I couldn't get motivated to make much today. I am not like some people and can just pull out some stamps and go to town. I actually need a feeling for a card or a stamp set until I can decide what to do with it. This is a new stamp from Impression Obsession which I buy them UM and I just love them and great price for UM.

This again is watercolored which I am in love with doing LOL. I used 3 different colored browns on the owl. I added but its hard to see in the picture tons of clear rhinestones to his belly and green for the eyes. You can see it up close though. I distressed the edges and found some great shimmery cardstock to match and of course sewed the edges.

We took my son to go see the Incredible Hulk tonight. It was a very good movie definately worth seeing if you like Marvel shows.

Rubbernecker - Kitten stamps

Hope everyone is having a great week. I planned on posting yesterday but this summer my allergies have been acting way up and I took some benedryl. Well that pretty much did me in for doing anything productive yesterday so it was bed early.

I made this card yesterday its a Rubbernecker stamp which are too cute. I watercolored it which I love to do now. I used lacquer on the fishbowl so it looks real. It's hard to lacquer whole areas if you use regular cardstock because it shrinks it and it has a tendancy to warp. Watercolor paper is way thick so it doesn't do the curling thing that regular cardstock does. I believe Fabriano watercolor paper is 140lbs. I distressed the edges and embossed my scallop. I used my cuttlebug to do the piece on the side and then distressed that. I sewed along the edges with my sewing machine as you can see i do almost every card now on my sewing machine. I love how it looks. Almost forgot kitty there is 3d so parts of him pop out. I used Prima flowers and generic Rhinestone brads which I believe I got from Joanns? I also did the inside sewing and distressing.

Will post another card later this evening. Have a great day.

Sandra Knuck - Cornish Heritage Farms

Here is another Gorgeous stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. They have the Thomas Kinkade series and my understanding they will be getting more of these also. Sandra Knuck she is an artist for dolls and plates and paintings. I believe majority of them are kids. This one was done Majestic Blue Versafine which versafine is my favorite nonsmearing ink. However I have not had any lucky using it on Vellum it always smears even being heatset. But great on cardstock as you can see the lines are very detail. I mostly use black but got the blue for this stamp.

I only colored the Water in my copics a blue, and then the fleshtone and hair. I used stickles on the water. I also sewed around the edges and added flowers which also have stickles on with some generic rhinestone beads. Background has a piece that is embossed with my cuttlebug. Gorgeous stamp i can't wait for more to be released in the future.

Card for you - Cornish Heritage Farms

I know I am horrible about posting. I have a goofy work schedule and only get to make cards 2 days a week on my days off. This card is Kim Hughes collection that is at Cornish Heritage Farms. I think its adorable. This one here is the baby store. I stamped him a couple times one time on the pink cardstock and 2 times on white. I made parts of him 3d - I sewed along the edge and then each little block on the background is sewed around reminds me of a baby quilt. I also sewed on the inside and and the ribbon. Added lacquer on the eys and beak and wings.

Work Again

Well last night was my first day back to work for this week so I am way out of it again. 4 hours of sleep today which is actually a good day LOL. Anyways I made this card this weekend. This is one of the Penny Blacks from the Acrylic sets. Not sure if I like them as much as the normal one's because they are sooo much smaller but they are nice for regular size cards. The back strip was embossed with my cuttlebug and then stitched along the edges. Kitty was colored with pencils and gamsol. Prima flowers and some brads I had laying around.
Hope everyone has a great week...

Diecut Monkey Card

Wow it's definately been a long week. I have been busy with graduation and moving rooms in the house. I bought my husband an AC single room unit on Friday cause my sons old room which is now my husbands office is too warm with his 4 pc's in it. So we monkeyed with this thing for 5 hours until I said we need to bring it back and exchange it for a different one. It sounded like an airplane engine. New one took us 10 minutes to install and worked fine. It is like an icebox in there now.

Yesterday was my first day this week to make cards all day. Which felt good to just relax. Today I am going to help unpack my son and then get ready for work again. Those days go by way too fast that is for sure.

Well Archivers came out with 10 new Exclusive Quickutz dies. I ended up liking 4 of them. This palm tree is one of them. I stitched the edges of the leaves and added rhinestones for coconuts. The monkey is watercolored on Fabriano Cold press cardstock which is my favorite. It's spendy but the best place to buy is Dick Blick ONLINE don't get from in the store if you have one cause it is like double the price. I always make my watercolored cards 3d too if at all possible. This one is the face and feet are 3d. I stitched along the edges of the card also. The inside of the card you can see i also decorate. I almost forgot to add the monkey is from High Hopes. Link on side

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Cars and Stampendous Stamps

My daughter got her new car today and boy is she proud of it. Here are some pictures. I haven't had hardly any sleep this week so haven't went in my craft room at all.

As for Stampendous stamps. Dick at HMStamps his niece I believe it is now has her own website too and she is selling stampendous stamps at a 15% discount all the time. Just email her your order. If she is anything like Dick this will be a great new adventure for her. So be sure to check it out. Her website is called KTstamps.

Happiness

I had tons of problems with my PC this weekend so couldn't post anything. I downloaded a Trojan somewhere that kept replicating itself. My husband who is an IT guy worked on it hours and it replicated itself 66 times. Finally we just formatted and reinstalled everything. Luckily I have always kept pictures and stuff on external drives so I didn't lose anything just a matter of getting everything going again.

Then my daughter who just graduated her truck broke down. She spent $180 to fix a starter that had nothing wrong with it. So now we are taking her down tomorrow and co signing a loan so she can get something newer. It's been one thing after another this weekend.

Here is a Penny Black card I did the other night. It's mostly done in copics and i sewed along the edges and added lots and lots of glitter.
