Sniffles

Here is the little Magnolia gal I was telling you about. Isn't she adorable. I colored her with markers and pencils on her cheeks. Added the cute little bow and lots of stickles. I added lacquer to the medicine bottle and her wash basin. As you can see I also made her 3d. Flowers are prima and not sure on the paper I think it comes out of a DCWV stack. I might be posting one more card tonight that I am working on right now. My son goes to his dad's house tonight and I am hoping my husband takes him so I have more time to play... hehe

Mouse Watering Flowers - Another Great Impressions

As you can see I just love these little guys. This stamp is from Great Impressions bought at HMStamps. Who by the way has great customer service and he is one speedy shipper. As you can see I am a very loyal customer. And am no way affiliated with this seller except that I am probably one of his best customers LOL.

I started out with PaperTrey Cardstock and then Stamped 2 of them. Ran through my Cuttlebug using my spellbinders templates. The paper I used is Noteworthy from Making Memories so are the flowers. All colored cardstock is papertrey. I colored the mouse with colored pencils and gamsol. I like this best as it blends better than I can get markers to blend for these little guys and I am still working on the watercoloring. I never make a flat card unless it's impossible to make 3d. I always pop something up. This I also sewn in many spots as you can see and added glitter around the edges and to the flowers. Isn't it cute.

Later I will post my Sniffly Magnolia girl for you.

Lilacs

Lilacs are my favorite flower and when I seen this new Magnolia stamp well I had to have it. I have been practicing my watercoloring lately too. Watercoloring takes some practice I still have much to learn it definately is not as easy as it looks to be. I just figured you slap some paint on a brush and slap it on the paper... NOT. LOL But I am slowly getting it I can tell cause every card I do looks a little better than the last. This one is my lilacs card which is all done in watercolor, I added parts of it 3d and added stickles on the flowers. I even watercolored the lilacs on the inside. Tomorrow I will post another Magnolia one that I did tonight. I haven't taken pictures but its a little girl and she is sitting with her feet in bucket of water and a handkerchief at her nose it's so cute for a Get Well card.
Have a Great evening

Storms last weekend

Last weekend we had a tornado come through. Supposedly it touched down by the highschool which is only a block away. But I know a couple blocks north of us they had a bunch of damage roofs, trees uprooted etc. Hugo which is about 5 - 10 miles from us had whole streets that were wiped out. Was kinda creepy. Here are some pictures of the hail I took that evening. It was too cool not to take a picture of. This was about 5 minutes worth the hail. The yard looked very cool.

Too many stamps too little time......

Ok I've got so many stamps I am getting over whelmed on what card to make next. This gorgeous little guy is a great impressions stamps bought at HMstamps. I thought he was soooo cute and knew I had to have him. I colored him with my copi markers. Added some stickles. Cardstock is DCWV and then some of the glitter stack. I used my SU craft ink on the flowers and embossed them with some shimmer embossing powder I have and then added soem buttons. I thought the inside of the card turned out cute too... Just a simple get well with embossed flowers.
Hope everyone is having a great week. I hope it goes by slow so I have plenty of time to play in my scraproom.

Pink Poodles

Wow my days off really fly by. I am just sitting here killing time before I have to go to work in a half an hour. I am trying to take my last day off which is Tuesday for Memorial day so hopefully. Anyways. I made this card last night. I used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder for the background. Along with some DCWV glitter dots from one of the stacks. I Also used the glitter paper from their glitter stack which I have mine almost gone already LoL. The stamp set is SU I believe its called Have a Yappy day or something like that. But i colored with markers and added stickles for the glitter. I sewed along the edges also. I love my new sewing machine which I wore out my last one cause i use it so much.

I got my new Great Impressions stamps yesterday from my buddy Dick at HMStamps. Which by the way I can't say enough good things about. He ships very fast and actual shipping prices and his stamps are discounted. I order all my House Mouse, Great Impressions, Stampabilities, and now Northwoods from him. So stay tuned for my next days off hopefully in 3 days and I will make some new cards using those sweet little mice.

Hope everyone has a Great and Safe Memorial day.

Northwoods Deer

Here is another Northwoods Card I made tonight. Which can be bought at HMStamps. This one is stamped on Watercolor Cold press cardstock and embossed in black embossing powder. I watercolored using reinkers and distressed the edges and sewed also. The paper is one of the Basic gray collections, not sure which one. I just love these Northwood stamps they are great for watercoloring which I keep attempting so I can get better at it.
Hope everyone is having a great evening.

New Sewing Machine

So I am sitting there sewing on a card today and all the sudden my stitches looked inside out and then everything started knotting. I must have pulled that thing apart a dozen times finally I got fed up. I mean I only paid $39 for it so I am sure I made my money off of it. But I went to Hancock Fabrics and got one that has more types of stitches. And it has a light and a guide and everything. Its like driving a Mercede's. It's called a Janome 3125 and it's on sale right now for only $89 regularly $129 so you can't beat that. I just had to create a little more room for it cause it is a little bigger. I will post some cards I made later on tonight.

How I store stuff

Ignore the mess of my scraproom its in shambles atm but anyways this is how I have been storing all my NON SU stamps. Also all my wheels from SU I store in binders also. I have 2 binders for regular size and 1 binder for large. I am in the process of unmounting all my single stamps like Penny Black and House Mouse etc. As you can see by my binders I keep one for like Christmas and another for the other Holidays. I combine companys unless like Penny Black I have 2 binders full. I buy the white acrylic pages from Stamp and Go in their Unmounted area the link is in my favorites. I believe they cost $4.99 for 5 sheets. I buy them as I can afford them. I mount all my stamps on EZ mount. I buy the generic binders at Target they are 1 1/2 inch binders which cost me $2.50 I pick up a couple everytime I go to Target these days.
The other pictures is how I have been storing all my loose ribbon or the tiny rolls from Michaels. Each card has under 5 yards on it. Anything more is too thick. I just took chipboard which you get from cereal boxes etc but I bought mine from Ebay i believe i paid $5 for 100 sheets. I cut it in 2 inch by 2 1/2 inch pieces which you can see how many I can fit. It's like 150 spools per drawer. I have 6 drawers full currently.
The third picture down from the top is a picture of how I mount my Quickutz dies. I have a huge binder full with slide pages which are 2 x 2 and then I store either 1 double in each pocket or one single along with the picture. I am getting some for my revolution dies too which are 4 x 4 so i figure I will use just the regular 4 x 5 picture pages but they work better if they load from the top so they don't fall out. I currently have a few hundred in that 2 x 2 binder.
Ok going to bed LOL... Hope you enjoyed these its always kind of interesting to see other people's storage. I am still working on what's best for me but I love the binders. I use CD cases for all SU sets.

Another baby dragon

I hope you aren't sick of the dragons yet. This one is so adorable isn't it. I did it with pencils and gamsol. I added stickles on parts of the ice cream and wings. Also the little ice cream cones I run the bottom through my cuttlebug so they are raised and then the tops are cut out of glitter cardstock. Which I am addicted to also. I sewed along the edges with my sewing machine even on the inside. I also distressed all the edges because I think it gives it more depth. I added lacquer to the eyes so they look real and the chocolate ice cream.

I got some more great impression Mice on the way should be here by Friday. I also got a new coffee Revolution diecut on its way. Hmmm oh yeh some more doggy Rubber Necker stamps are postal along with all the 4th of July Bee stamps from Stampendous.

Hope everyone has a great evening and see you tomorrow...
