Stampin Up - In the Garden
I spent a couple of months looking for older retired sets before the new catalog comes out. This was one of the sets. It's called In the Garden. I just love it. I used Fabriano Hot Pressed Watercolor paper but I used Copics. They seem to turn out quite well on that paper. That paper is very spendy I buy the bigger tablets as I use tons because I do alot of watercoloring. I like the color pressed for water coloring. Dick Blick Online has the best prices for it. I believe they have it something like 40% off retail. I made the mistake of going to a local Dick Blick thinking they would have the same deal but they don't only the online does.
I used my cuttlebug and did the background with vellum which I just love that technique. I have all the new cuttlebugs coming next month. Scrapyland has a great deal where you can put things on layaway there and I do this all the time with the Cuttlebug and Quickutz stuff. They give you 3 months to pay for it. Since they were preorder anyways I put all the new folders and some of the diecuts on layaway.
Not sure if anyone noticed the post I did the other day with the new Stampendous stamps but if you haven't checked them out please do. I ordered all the monkeys, fluffles and majority of the Angels. It makes me want to make Christmas cards and I haven't even started on Halloween yet. hehe....
Anyways on my day off I will probably be making some of my cute new Sugar Nellies. So stay tuned. Have a great week. Tonight is my Friday so will post hopefully tomorrow.
