Spiral Whispers - Pink Christmas Puppy

Here is another adorable stamp from Spiral Whispers. This is another cute stamp from Janet Roberts. I colored this one in Copics and made parts of it 3d. The paper is DCWV Christmas stack from this year I believe. I added shimmerz to the ball once it was colored in copics and added some rhinestones. The inside I cut out a couple of the candy canes from the matching paper and sewed around the edges. I also embossed around the scallops on the main image. If you notice I never get any smearing of black when I color my images with markers cause every image I do 99% of them are embossed with black which is great for markers cause they don't smear. If I don't emboss it will occassionally smear no matter what Ink I have tried.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Only 2 more work nights for me this week. I took my Friday night off which is Tuesday cause we are going to be short handed and no more nights off till someone else is trained in.
Have a great day!

Papertrey Ink - Beams and Boards

Papertrey Ink came out awhile back with a set I called Boards and Beams it was cute little houses you can put together a couple styles and then fences and doors, trees etc. Well in their latest release they came out with an expansion pack called Home for the Holidays. The snow parts of the roofs and snowmans and wreaths etc. They can be found at Papertrey Inks website. I love both these sets but they are alot of work and cutting if you make cards 3d like I do but its so worth it. The trim I put on the tree above I found at Michaels, there was 3 different colors in a spool with their Christmas ribbon. I thought it went perfect. I put it on there with Crystal effects which you kinda have to hold it down till it takes. I laid a pair of scissors on top.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. And good news High Hope stamps is having a new release tomorrow and from the sneak peeks it looks so cute. A bunch of Dragons. I love anything fantasy so I can't wait. I've seen a few cute stamps with the latest releases or soon to be releases from a few different spots but may have to wait till after Christmas which is right around the corner and I need to get started.

Another Magnolia Scene

Here is another scene card I made with my Magnolia stamp. Again done in markers and then used some glitter for the snow and lacquer for the lights.

Magnolia Christmas Scene

I just love Magnolia stamps. This one is a Christmas scene I did. Colored with copics and parts 3d. Added flocking to the trim and lacquer to where I wanted it to look shiney. These are tons of fun to do but kind of time consuming. I just ordered from the latest release from Magnolia can't wait to get those ones.

Spiral Whispers - Challenge 4 - Flourishes

If you haven't checked out Spiral Whispers please do. I was asked to be on the Guest Design team for October. I am so excited, they are becoming one of my favorite stamp companies. I just love Janet's cute litte animal stamps and her little girls. The rest of the stamps there are great too. Also very fast shipping and great prices. Also their October release is less then a week away, how great is that. I can't wait to see what new stamps they come up with.

Anyways onto the Challenge card for their Challenge 4 - Flourishes The stamp I used for this challenge is one of Janets its called Milly & Snowman The card was colored with Copics and I made parts of it 3d. I also added glitter to the snowman and it is embossed. The flourishes I used are actually from Quickutz Revolution. I believe there are like 5 flourishes in one punch out. I used my DCWV glitter stack. The cardstock used in this card is also DCWV Winter stack. I added flocking to the trim of her coat and hat which makes it looks fluffy. It's very cute in person hard to see in the picture. There is also a flourish on the inside of the card.
That is Challenge 4.

I believe the saying is Amuse.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. And for Tracy the little kitty in yesterday's blog is Spiral Whispers which is over in the UK somewhere so it would be local for you. Probably cheaper than for me. Just click on the link and it will take you to the kitties....

Recipe - Orange Chicken

I didn't make too many cards this week as I was way too busy with other things but I did make a couple and will take some pictures later on today. My printer broke so I also had to get a new one of those this week. I thought I would share with you a recipe I made last night for supper. I made it with Homemade Oatmeal Honey bread and Rice.

Orange Chicken

5 Chicken Breasts
2 Cups of Orange Juice
2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
1 Envelope dry onion soup mix
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tablespoon of Cornstarch.

Mix together ingrediants and pour over chicken. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting chicken every half an hour.

This was excellent I made white rice with it and used the sauce over the rice.

Sugar Nellies - Black Polka Dots

Another great stamp from Sugar Nellies. This one I created because I was actually having a dumb moment and standing in my scraproom thinking of something to do when the black polka dotted flowers from Doodlebugs caught my attention. They probably been sitting in that same place for at least 3 years. HAHA. I thought hmmm about time I do something with these. So I pulled out my Sugarnellies... The button is from Oriental Trading which I got a whole container full of polka dotted buttons from there. I believe they have striped now and glitter too. They are like $20 per container but they have tons of buttons. I watercolored this also with my Peerless watercolors. Background is just my Stampin Up Polka dotted background stamped on white and took a sponge around the edges.

Elzybells - Having Coffee

I just love Elzybells stamps. This one is sooo adorable. The background coffee saying stamp is also elzybells. I first stamped that in Dark brown using my Stampin Up linen background and then embossed the coffee saying on top of it. Thought it looked so neat I almost didn't want to cover it up. The girls are done with copics and edges distressed with the dark brown. Background paper is just some I had in my stash.

Card and Candle

Here is a card and candle set I made yesterday. Just experimenting so far but I want to make some of these as Christmas gifts. Card is a Fabriano card and is watercolored. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Its back to work tonight for me feels wierd cause I have had 5 whole days off. So back to the gym and work tonight. :-(

Sugar Nellie - Shabby Chic

Another Sugar Nellies image from Funky Kits. I just love these little girls they are great for watercoloring and making parts 3d. This one is done with my peerless. Inside of this is a old retired stamp from Stampin Up. I believe its called Toile Blossoms. I always get people sendiing me messages asking for names of stamps. Its always a guess as I immediately UM all my stamps and they go into binders by occassion or brand or whatever. So its not always correct.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
