GinaK Stamps

Well I got my new GinaK stamps today and also got a few sets from Cornish Heritage Farms which I have not made yet. Took me forever to get everything mounted tonight. So after I did mount them I thought I would make something from the adorable Owl set which was released this month. I was watching Sweeney Todd also. I am running out of things to watch while I am stamping.

Anyways I used Basic Grey paper and some Robin's nest little bead trims. Then the owls were colored with prisma colored pencils and the branches and leaves with my copics. I added lacquer to the eyes so they look real. I love the saying that comes with the owl also... My days off went by fast I start work again tomorrow night. Uck and we have snow in the forecast again.....

Magnolia

Hope everyone is having a great week. It was raining here today which is kind of depressing but it's making the grass grow nice and green so it means good weather ahead.

I ordered a bunch of new Sugar Nellie's today I can't wait for them to come. Normally takes about 10 days to come from the UK. I have some Magnolia's postal too which should be here anytime. I have come very addicted to these stamps. Kinda spendy because the dollar isn't worth very much in the UK at the moment but they are still great stamps.

Today I made this little boy which is a Magnolia. And isn't the paper adorable. It can be bought at Sweet Water which link is on the side of course. I colored him with my copics and then cut out pieces to make him 3d. Added some lacquer to the water so it kind of looks real. That paper btw with the two different its a reversable paper so I just cut the strip of fish on the bottom and then used the other side for the stripes. I thought it went perfect with the card.

Simple Lasagna

I was on someone's blog and they were asking for simple recipes. Here is what I posted. It's fast and simple and if you love lasagna you will love it.

Simply Lasagna
1 lb ground beef1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1-15oz container Ricotta Cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 cup chopped Parsley
1 -26oz jar spaghetti sauce
1 cup water
12 lasagna noodles, uncooked

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown meat in large skillet on medium - high heat. Meanwhile, mix egg, 1 - 1/4 cups of mozzarella cheese, the ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese and the parsley until well blended; set aside.

2. Drain meat; return to skillet. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Add water to the empty sauce jar; cover with lid and shake well. Add to the meat mixture; stir until well blended. Spreakd 1 cup of the sauce onto the bottom of a 13 x 9 - inch baking dish; top with layers of 3 lasagna noodles, one-third of the ricotta cheese mixture and 1 cup of the sauce. Repeat leayers twice. Top with remaining 3 noodles and the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 - 1/4 cups of mozzarella cheese and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Cover with greased foil.

3. Bake 45 minutes. Remove foil; bake an additional 15 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting to serve

Bella's

Today UPS surprised me with a great big package from Stampin Bella's which I thought wouldn't be here for awhile since they are coming from Canada. So I sat with my son and watched Sponge Bob and mounted stamps onto EZ mount. This card is one of the fairies that I got with my order. I believe I got 3 different fairies. I colored this one with Copics and cut out another one out of the background paper I used and made that for the top of the dress. I used my photo corner punch from stampin up on the trim and added some pearls. Isn't that paper gorgeous I bought it yesterday at Archivers. Not sure who makes it but I might need some more. Hope every one had a great day....

Archivers Exclusive Diecuts

Hope everyone is having a great week. It is so nice here it finally feels like maybe winter is over with. Birds are even chirping and grass is turning green.

Yesterday I ran to Archiver's to see if there was any new paper I just had to have and went into the diecut section. And wow I ran into 3 new exclusive to Archivers dies. There was a Hippo - Monkey and Giraffe. Here are the two cards I made with the Hippo and Giraffe. They are Quickutz revolution dies. I use my cuttlebug to cut these out. I always make parts of it 3d by added foam tape and I use my Rangers distress ink and sponge around the edges so it stands out a little more. I use quick dry glue by Scotch I think it is to glue the pieces together. Arn't they too cute for words....

Actually everything on this card is theres including the ink and ribbon. This was just stamped with their different colored inks and then I cut out part of the rose 3d. Love their stuff can't wait till 15th for their release next month.

Have a great weekend.

Gardening Moose

Happy Friday ! Here is a little moose from Hanna Stamps that I made today. I colored it in markers. I took my Stampin Up White Signo pen and added dots to the boots. Also the little bees that are on there are stick stamps you can get from Stamps by Judith I think they are from. I added great paper from my newest DCWV Spring stack. I also added some May arts Ribbon and a little Charm I got from Charming Place. All links are in my blog on the right side. The scallops are done with my Marvy punches and then I distressed the edge. I did the little inside design of my one scallop with just a pigment pen by copic.

Almost forgot another Pink Cat Studio

I almost forgot I was gonna show you this other Pink Cat Studio card I did today. This is another Lily and Tweet one. I have been ordering 1 sheet at a time to save on shipping. I have a Tweet Sheet on the way. This one is done in Copics too isn't she cute....

New Hedgie

Here is one of my new hedgies I just love them they are so adorable. I didn't like the new acrylics as much they are kind of small which makes them hard to make 3d pieces on. I did this one with markers and copics which I love. But if you buy them buy the sketch or the original because all the money I spent on my CIA's which i think they are called which is like a regular marker size they are all drying out already so I am having to rebuy them.
Anyways not sure who makes this beautiful paper it was in my scraps but the beautiful ribbon is papertrey which i love and support. They have a release party on the 14th of each month and I am always there spending all my money LOL...
It's still nice out here I made chicken marinated all day in Italian dressing and then grilled it. Dang was that nice and tender. I've been on a diet so only eating 800 - 1000 calories a day so i have to make them count.
Have a great night.

Pink Cat Studios

I made this cute adorable card tonight from Pink Cat Studio's. Her name is Lily and the little bird's name is Tweet. You should check out their stamps if you get a chance they are adorable. She has cheap shipping too only $2.12 for a sheet to come to US as she is in Canada.

I colored her in Copics and added Stickles and flowers and brads to her. I made parts of her 3d to make her stand out. And also added a real Swarvoski Rhinestone I bought from Artbeads.com.

I will post more cards tomorrow. I am also working on some Penny Black one's that I just got. Hope everyone is having a great week. It's been high 60's and early 70's here it feels very nice. Wind is a bit chilly but other than that perfect... no snow.

Still Snowing

You know it's mid April almost, you would think there would be no snow. We have had snow, slush off and on last few days. My mom who lives a few hours north has 14 inches of snow and I guess another 60 miles north of her they have like 3 feet almost. Glad I am not there. It's alot

colder up that way and they always get more snow because of the lake effects they are right along Lake Superior.

Anyways I go back to work tonight but I did receive today my new Penny Black stamps I am sooooo excited to show them to you. I will be making next time I am off in 4 days hehe... the new Penny Black stamps. Also don't forget if you keep up with Papertrey as I do they have their release on the 15th at midnight. Also Stampin Bella has Free shipping this weekend till Sunday evening on all orders over $45. Links for both on on the side.

For the card I posted on this blog today the reason being I got a few emails on what stamp company this was. It is Magenta and they are out of Canada too I believe. I can never remember but they have some adorable stamps. The link is on the side bar. I colored this one on Kraft paper from Stampin Up with colored pencils. The paper I used was Crate paper which I love. I cut out one of the flowers from the paper and used it for the embellishment I used and then stamped a plain circle color from the background cardstock and then a piece on Kraft paper and stamped the Happy Day which is an A Muse stamp. I love their cute little sayings. Anyways I used my distress ink and did all the edges...

Have a great weekend.

Baby Card

Wow it's winter again in Minnesota. Well tonight its snowing already an inch maybe two on the ground. They say 12 inches in parts not sure if we will or not but we are right in the path. Then it was raining and thundering too all in one night. Very strange.

Onto the card I made tonight. I love how this turned out. It's a Stampin Up set I can't even remember if it's in the book or not it might be retired. I UM my stamps so never know the name of them exactly. But its soo cute. I colored it with colored pencils. Made parts of it 3d - added stickles to the ribbon and baby bottle. Laquer to the bottle nipple and caps of jars. Added a bosskut diecut on it... I think its soo adorable.

House Mouse

The days go by so fast well so do the weeks. I will be glad when summer is finally here. According to the news we may get more snow this weekend about 12 inches if it comes down this way. I am very tired of snow that is for sure.

I made this card last night. It's the new House Mouse set which can be bought at HMSTAMPS.
I believe its April or May's I always get messed up cause I think they come out Month of. I sewed around the edges also. And it's colored with pencils and gamsol. I am excited I got an email from Dick at HMstamps telling me my new Penny Black were on the way from the Spring collection. I ordered over $100 worth so can't wait to get them.
I've been on a shopping spree lately I have to stop LOL. I have got new papers and stamps coming. CC designs from All that scraps. Just came out with some new stamps I bought. Also she has some new distressed cardstock I just had to have a pack in every color. LOL.
Ok I think today I will make some more cards. I had to go and pick up Season 4 of One Tree Hill yesterday cause it ended Seasonn 3 with a cliff hanger then I will be all caught up with that show until the new DVD for Seaon 5 comes out in the fall. I just love that show.

Magnolia's

I got my new Magnolia stamps today which was I believe 6 more. I will be making some cards with them on my day's off which tomorrow night is my last night at work. Also FYI if you like Northwood's stamps which is a stamp company here in Minnesota. I love their stamps but very hard to find as they don't have a store front. The stamps can be viewed at Northwoods they have new colored catalogs set up. Now the great news is where I was telling you that you could buy House Mouse and Penny Black stamps. Dick over at HMStamps is now going to be taking orders for Northwoods. He won't be carrying them in stock but will be placing orders twice a month. I believe he said starting the middle of April. Just email him what you want.

Also another great FYI if you own a cricut. Michaels has their cartridges on sale this week for $39.99. And they carry 26 different one's. What they don't have in stock they will give you a raincheck for. I bought the 2 Disney one's today with the princesses and got a raincheck for paperdolls. They do not carry the new Pooh cartridges.

Alright back to work for me have a great week and see you later on this week for some new cards.

Rockstar

Thought I would share a super cute stamp with you that I won for a random blog drawing at SugarNellie and can be bought here at Funky Kits. But I do believe Rockstar was just a special set they did and they had a few extra. Seeing how guitar hero is huge now this would be one great kid card. I used the background from Rock DCWV scrap pad and then I colored him in copics and the little guitar you see is actually from a piece of the paper in the same scrap pack I just mentioned...

Have a great evening I am just making cards to list tomorrow on ebay and watching One Tree Hill. I am so addicted to that show it's not funny. I am on Season 3 now and tomorrow I am thinking I might need to go and buy the 4th season at Target. Oh btw weather is great in Minnesota today I went and bought some propane and had hamburgers on the grill tonight for supper. It felt really good to be outside with no jacket on.

Graduation Card

I am so bad about updating but since I work nights I only get a chance to go in my scraproom on Wed - Friday normally. I like working midnights but sometime they really get to me. I bought this stamp at my lss so not sure who makes it but it's gorgeous. I had my daughter in mind when I bought it because she graduates this June. It's been a long 12 years.

This card is stamped with versamark on Fabriano watercolor paper. For this one I used Hot Press which means its not as lumpy. I then used just regular Gold Detail embossing powder which i buy in bulk instead of the itty bitty container's it sells in. I also store all my embossing powders or glitter in sandwhich containers or some type of small container with a spoon in it. It

makes it so much easier to use. I don't know how people use it in those baby jars.

I then pulled out all my Twinkling H2O's which I love but always forget I have them. It's hard to see in the picture but they are shimmery in person. I did the 2 largest roses and ribbon and cut them out with scissors. and then i colored the bottom. I used stardream gold cardstock for the backing and embossed it with one of my cuttlebugs. I just love this card its sooo pretty in person.
