Elisabeth Bell - Raining

I got so many stamps its hard for me to remember where I got them from or what company they are from. This one I believe is from Whiff of Joy and I know its by Elisabeth Bell. I just love
her designs. She also designs for Sugar Nellies.
This one was colored in copics and the flowers I got at Michaels and the saying is also from Whiff of Joy.
Well its nice out but I didn't have as many Trick or Treaters as normal. So now I have a huge bag of chocolate left. Which wouldn't be such a bad thing but I am addicted and will eat it if its around the house and I am on a diet so I will need to send it to work with my husband.
Hubby got me a new toy an ITOUCH from Apple. I love it. But the battery doesn't last only a few hours on it. I am also connected to wireless on it which my hubby said is why the battery is draining fast but there are tons of puzzle games to download. I even got Crash Bandicot Cart on it which is a hoot. Now I am putting some audio books on it to listen to at the gym.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Penny Black - Christmas Santa

Well only 2 more nights of work. It's nice to only work 4 days I love my 4 - 10s it gives me more time off to make cards. Right now I have been busy trying to get some Christmas shopping done even though I am lazy and do about 90% of it online. Its just way to easy to shop at work and have it delivered and not having to deal with those crowds. Gotta love that.

Here is a card I made this weekend using one of my new Penny Black stamps that hadn't seen any ink. I didn't know if I liked it or not but after I colored it then I did. The tag stamp is Papertrey Inks set which is the latest release. Not sure the name of it but it has a bunch of round tag type stamps. Very cute. This was colored all in copics and made parts 3d.

I was trying to arrange my work area tonight but its funny seems like I just move it from one place to the next and no place really to move it to. I bought my husband a desk tonight he makes Model type figure things. But I might have to get one for myself from The Best Scrapbook Shelf
I love the organizers they have at this place also. He doesn't have a bunch of room so I got one of the smaller desks. I am going to get like a glass overlay for the top so it doesn't get all cutup since he uses a razor knife alot. The place is in Canada I sent them an email to ask them about their packaging since it was coming so far but they said if anything happens to it they would accept a digitial picture and replace it which is great. I got some furniture cubboards from Target last year for my scraparea and the corners were all smashed on a couple and they wouldn't take them back since they were bought online so I definately ask that stuff now before i buy.
Have a great week..

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I go back to work tonight still feeling horrid. I just can't kick this cold and coughing.

Elzybells - Thanks

Still feeling a little under the weather. I have lost part of my voice so sound hilarious. LOL but I did get a couple cards done on my days off which is a good thing. This is one of Elzybells stamps which btw she is having free shipping until Sunday to celebrate her 5th Year Anniversary... This card was done in copics and made parts 3d. Distressed the edging. The "Thanks" is cardboard which I cut out on my cuttlebug.
Hope everyone had a great week...

Sickness and Spiral Whispers SOTW

Sorry I haven't posted but I have had a horrible cold my son decided to give me and sore throat. I actually had to take some days off cause I couldn't talk on the phone either which is 90% of my job LOL. I might try to get in my scraproom later today I am getting tired of laying on the couch. Been watching alot of Wife swap that is a hilarious show though...
Spiral Whispers has a SOTW and this week is Christmas Tree Row. I have to admit when I first got it I was like hmmm what am I going to do with this. But then after I sat down and looked at it a little bit more I seen tons of possibilities. As you can see by the first picture which I watercolored on Fabriano paper it is beautiful alone. You could even make the trees nontraditional colors like pinks and blues. I made some of my trees 3d but you wouldn' t have to would look cute without it.
On the second card I stamped them first on the background and made a few pop out. Which maybe kinda hard to see but then I stamped the doggy seperate and added him later. So it makes an adorable background stamp too.

Penny Black - Orange Kids

Here is a nontraditional color card I did. I just love orange cards at Christmas. I found this paper a couple years ago at a convention and just used my last sheet. This was all done in Copics.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Tonight is my Monday and its back to work for me....
Someone asked me to elaborate on how I did this card. I used Papertrey Ink Basic cardstock for the background and distressed the edges in Distress Ink from Ranger I believe the color is Marigold. I am at work so can't look but its the orange color they have. Then I embossed an image with Versamark/Black ink and then clear embossing powder. I then colored that with Copic Markers. I stamped a 2nd image which I made parts 3d. I added flocking for the trim of of hat. The felt snowflakes are from Hero Arts. I also sewed along the edges of the card. Added some ribbon also...

CC Designs - Christmas Morning

I just love the latest release from All that Scraps - CC Designs. This is the card I made last night using that set.

As you can see there was tons of work that went into this card and took me a long time. I added 3d to alot of the parts and glitter, gold pen, bead trim etc... I think it turned out so cute. I almost want to keep it...

Hope everyone is having a great week...

Card Stock

I had someone ask about what Cardstock I use. I normally use either Papertrey ink which is beautiful thick 110lb cardstock. But the thing is every month she comes out with 2 new colors and doesn't yet have every color but the one's she has are gorgeous. I can't wait till she comes out with Pinks... hopefully that is next month. This month was a beautiful blue and a sort of olive color green. So far there are 12 colors you can check them out here. I use her basic white for all my coloring purposes except Gamsol that i use Whisper White from Stampin Up it blends better Next I use Stampin up because you can't beat their color line. I don't however use it for card base I use Neenah Classic Linen for that it's way cheaper in the long run. I just love the new In colors I will be sad to see them go. I have been a Stampin Up demo now for about 5 years but plan on quitting as soon as Nichole from Paper trey gets all the color cardstock she is planning on getting. But until then I will stay with Stampin Up for my cardstock needs that Papertrey doesn't have. I get my Classic Linen from Anchor Paper It costs $27 for 250 sheets. Think of how many cards you can make with that. I normally make 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 but that is still 250 cards way cheap in my book... I just buy white.

For Watercolor paper I use Fabriano you can get it at Dick Blick Online. I buy Cold Press for Watercoloring and Hot press for Copics... Its about 140lbs.

I hope that answers your questions if not please email me.... To email me just click on my profile and on the inside there is a Email me link....

Ok today is my day to work on cards so will try to post some later. I took my son to eat today as he was off from school for 2 days. We went to Old Country Buffet. I feel like I roll out of that place when I leave LOL....

Magnolia Christmas Evening

As you know I just love Magnolia stamps. I did this one last night while I was watching TV and just love how it turned out so tackled another one for my mom for Christmas. I know she will frame it when she is done showing it. I colored all of it in Copics and added glitter and made parts 3d. Also added lacquer to certain parts like the clock face and glass of milk. Isn't she just gorgeous.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Today is my Monday so I go back to work tonight. Fun stuff...

Spiral Whispers - Christmas Milly

As you know I am a guest designer for Spiral Whispers this month so I have been mostly playing with their stamps. This is a card I made with a stamp by Janet Roberts. I just love Milly. This one is colored with Copics then I added Liquid applique on the log once it was colored and on top of that I added white glitter. It doesn't show up well in the picture but its sparkly in person. I then added flocking on the scarf and trim and earmuffs... The felt snowflake is from Stampin Up from the mini catalog that just came out. I added stickles to the stars in the sky. Background paper are Chatterbox and cardstock is Stampin up. I also stitched around the edges of course...
Fall is in full swing here in Minnesota. Nights are getting chilly and leaves are turning oranges and yellows which are very pretty. I am so not looking forward to snow on the ground though. Hope everyone is having a fantastic week.

Spiral Whispers - Sketch Challenge

Here is the card I did for the sketch Challenge for Spiral Whispers. This little gal is also one of Janet Roberts which I think she is so cute. Milly can be found here. All challenges can be found on Spiral Whispers Blog be sure to check them out as challenges are fun to do to get your imagine flowing. I admit I am bad I tend to do the same layout on cards over and over so always welcome something different from time to time.
The card was done in all Copics and the small buttons are by Buttons Galore and More I just love using buttons in my card layout. I use a wire cutter to clip the shanks off the back of the buttons. You can also buy a shank cutter in the button section of any craft store to do this also. I have one but its lost in my mess so a wire cutter works just as well.
Today is my Friday so hopefully will have some new stamps for new cards to post for you guys this week. Until then have a great week....

New Release Whiff of Joy

I forgot to post yesterday was the latest release of Whiff of Joy. Elisabeth Bell and Alison Acton are the two great designers they currently got designing for them and they are fantastic. I have every stamp so far with the exception of 1 I think which I will eventually get but I am trying to get some Christmas presents. Having 3 kids all in teen years is very expensive at Christmas

Anyways be sure to check out the latest Whiff of Joy release and also their accessory stamps new this time. Oh and the stamps will last forever they are made of Red Rubber.

Fluffles and his Christmas Tree

I never get tired of looking at Fluffles stamps they are so cute. This one is one of my favorites. Fluffles is colored in markers and I did the tree with pencils. Added stickles along the edges and then to the bulbs.

Magnolia Witch

As you can tell I just love these little Magnolia kids. This is from the latest release that they had. Ooops no they just came out with the PINK release so it was the one before that. The pink release for a the donation for Breast Cancer they are adorable too but I need to focus on Christmas shopping so it will have to wait. Also my 10 year anniversary is coming up this month so I need to get my husband something else.
This card was done in COPICS and the background paper is DCWV. Which majority of the paper I use is from those stacks cause you definately can't beat the price. Made parts of this 3d and used lacquer to make the buttons look real. She's a real knock out huh.... Hope everyone is having a fabulous fall weekend... Leaves are changing here and next thing you know it there will be snow on the ground...

Hope everyone is having a great evening..

Magnolia Sunflower Girl

This stamp is from the latest release I got from Magnolia's. I just love her I think she is so cute. She is embossed with black and colored with copics on Fabriano Hot press paper. The sunflowers I found in the flower dept at Joann's and cut them down. The paper is DCWV in their fall stack.

High Hopes - Possums

Arn't these little guys cute. I found them in my High Hopes book and ughhh the stamp wasn't even inked. My problem is I have so many stamps that when I get them I put them in their binder and forget to ink them. If you only knew the amount of stamps I have uninked you would laugh cause I just keep buying more. Its kinda an addiction I have I think. I can't go one week without buying something. I have been trying to focus on figuring what to buy for Christmas but those dang stamp sets I have just keep sneaking in my mind and over powering Christmas thoughts LOL. Like this week for example is Hanna's release and MFT's and then there is High Hopes but I have a huge Christmas list I am gonna give my husband and its almost all stamps LOL....
Anyways back to these gorgeous little guys. This was done with copics and it was embossed in black. Paper is Stampin Up. Not much else to tell about them but they are cute arn't they.
